As I look around the American landscape and I reflect on my life and the lives of the average American, what stands out is how privileged and fortunate we are, thanks to the efforts of hard working self sacrificing Americans, who preceded me over the past three centuries.

We all stand on their shoulders and have inherited the wealth of freedom and plenty that they made possible. With that inheritance most Americans have chosen to “Party Down!”

Look around, America is basically on one long party binge. From sports to entertainment to vacations and leisure, America is hooked on having fun.

Let's see how all that frivolity fares when one of our major cities is devastated by a nuclear blast. It might be a little difficult to focus on fantasy football, or the a new season of “Game of Thrones.”
