Interesting, because Michael J. Fox has said that he found the character of Alex unlikable. Yet somehow Alex came off as likable to many viewers. Same with Archie Bunker. He was played by a very liberal actor and was supposed to be unlikable, yet many viewers liked him and agreed with him.
