Islam does not accept the concept of Equality. Jefferson attempts to force another religion to operate in accordance with a Christian idea, but it was so ubiquitous in Jefferson's environment, that he conceives of the concept of equality as a universal principle.
It is not. Islam utterly rejects it.

There’s a video out there showing the 30 seconds it takes to “invent” his clock from the original Radio Shack clock, which puts the lie to the idea this kid was some kind of genius. It’s not like he built up a clock from a display and 74XX integrated circuit chips.
Denise should carry such a clock into airport security the next time she’s leaving town, and report on how that works out. Or put one on the steps of the local mosque.
