We always have containers - lots of the gallon jug ones in particular (& I do Chinese takeout now & again). I’ve got a little thinking/planning to do as to exactly where to put them, but I should be able to work something out. Spring never comes soon enough for me so to be able to ‘winter sow’ is definitely something I want to try! :-)

I got this craving for red cabbage after reading a couple of recipes in the local paper a couple of weeks ago. They were touting red cabbage as ‘better’ for you than green - that may be so, but I like the color. I have 8 red cabbage plants in the garden, but they are still too small so I bought two (red) heads. I have one left & wanted to make something different out of it so I got online and these are 3 recipes that interested me. The German Casserole is probably the one I’ll make, just using red rather than green cabbage & ground venison - some folks said in the comments it’s a little bland so I’ll add more garlic, etc. & spice it up a bit. With the weather turning colder, these sorts of dishes are becoming more appealing.
