my garden: done....hubby picked several nice squash plus my prize trombone squash..I have some cabbages but they still are so small and I wonder if they are any good?....do cabbages keep growing in the fall?

my two hop plants grew pretty well for being just planted in late May...they produced a few hops but I didn't pick them...I'll cover the plants and hope next year they'll really produce.

I have some parsley and some rosemary and basil...

a few apples on our few trees...

garlic planted and covered...

doing mostly bed cleanup now....added some potting soil to the raised beds and threw in some leaves my hubby has mulched...

always planning and I just know that next year will be even better.

We’re doing garden clean up, too. Corn stalks are down. My daughter is pulling the marigold seeds for next year. I grabbed as many tomatoes as I could that weren’t rotten and dehydrated what was left. I’m done with tomatoes! I blend them up into powder once they’re good and dry. It’s nice to add a teaspoon here and there to soups and casseroles for extra tomato flavor.

We’re considering lots of fruit trees and more berry bushes next year. I love fall because I get to start planning and daydreaming about the even better garden we’ll have next year! :0) We’ve never planted a tree of any kind before. Should be interesting!
