I take immetrex....works great and within 20 mins......have to take it before I start getting sick to my stomach. It opens the blood vessels up (I think)only issue is sometimes it gives me a rebound headache
I’m taking Imitrex (Sumatriptan) as well. They are my ‘ miracle pills ‘. My husband can’t relate to the pain and discomfort at all. He never had a headache in his life! The lucky guy.
Same here. I actually split them into thirds and if i take it early enough it keeps it at bay.

It affects a certain natural substance (serotonin) that causes narrowing of blood vessels in the brain. It may also relieve pain by affecting certain nerves in the brain. Sumatriptan does not prevent future migraines or lessen how often you get migraine attacks.
