Islam should not be taught in any public classroom. If Muslims want to have their own Islamic schools, let them pay for them...back in the country of their origin.

When I was a teenager in the 1970’s Florida required every high school student to take a class called Americanism vs Communism. The class taught the facts about Communism so that we would be equipped later in life (i.e. in college) when we started thinking that Communism might not be all bad and that the only reason it didn’t work is that the “right people haven’t tried it yet.”

They stopped teaching it in the late 1980s and now a generation thinks that the only reason it didn’t work is that the “right people haven’t tried it yet.”

People need to be taught ABOUT islam as we were taught about communism. You don’t make students recite the pillars of islam, but you teach them how those five pillars are implemented by a political system disguised as a religion whose goals are nothing short of global domination.

But the problem is that we had “Americanism” as the good ideology. Today, our nation has abandoned all good ideologies and will only teach bad ones as a viable alternative to...well...nothing. That makes the bad into the only choice.

Bottom line: public schools are child abuse. People need to buy the smaller house, get rid of the huge cell phone plan, drive older cars if that’s what it takes to save your children from public schools.
