Well, he quit the Redskins head coaching job when he realized he was completely clueless on coaching pro football. He thought it would be the same as college. All he did was say run fast and turn around and catch the ball. I never heard him speak in nothing but clichés, constantly.

In fact, he is so classless, he resigned by phone on the golf course. He couldn't bother to drive a few miles and resign in person. I have little respect for him.

I agree with you. Spurrier was always good at throwing out cheap shots and insults - but when roles were reversed, he’d become indignant and petulant.

I’ve never thought highly of people who loved to dish it out but couldn’t take it.
