One of my top 10 fave episodes is “Jose Chung’s From Outer Space”.

"Jose Chung’s From Outer Space," "Humbug," and "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" were all written by Darin Morgan, who was introduced to the X-Files audience as an actor, when he played the humanoid tapeworm "Flukeman" in the episode "The Host."

Though I am not much of a TV viewer, and I missed the entire original run of the show, I managed to see reruns of most of the Duchovny-era X-Files episodes. I think Darin Morgan's screenwriting was perfect for the show.

Those are two of my other top ten.

LOL

Loved Humbug because Jim Rose and The Enigma were in it.

I missed most of the post-Mulder eps.

Just could not get into the Terminator liquid metal dude.
