To: Cincinatus' Wife
When I was in high school, I worked one summer for the hospital my mom worked as the dietician for. It was an unskilled, general labor-type teenage summer job.

My co-worker that summer was a black fellow named Theodis T. Odee. Just saying his name prompted a smile. Fortunately, he was a really fun guy to work with and even made light of his own name. He said it was a "sing-song" sounding name and he sang a little ditty he made up using his name.

But a name I will never forget.

Mista Theodis T. Odee ... sounds like a a name from a novel.
It's great.
