Full Title: Harry Reid Lawsuit Against Exercise Band Manufacturer ‘Opens the Doors’ To His Bathroom, Medical and Bank Records
Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer of an exercise band that he claims “broke or slipped” while “mounted to a sturdy object in his bathroom” as he used it on January 1, causing injuries that blinded in him one eye.
“The lawsuit is really going to open the doors if the company’s defense counsel wants to go after Harry Reid,” an attorney and expert on product liability tells Breitbart News.
“Through the discovery process they can get access to his bathroom (where this allegedly happened) medical records, records from his protective detail and much of Reid’s personal information such as bank records,” the expert says.
The civil liability complaint in which the 75-year-old Reid and his wife, Landra Gould, are suing Hygenic Intangible Property Holding Company, The Hygenic Corporation, and Performance Health, LLC, three intertwined corporations that manufacture and distribute the TheraBand exercise band, was filed in Clark County, Nevada District Court by Reid’s attorney, James M. Morgan of the Las Vegas law firm Lanzone, Morgan LLP on Wednesday.

This smells of month old mackrel behind the furnace.

Various broken bones, contusions, erc.
Became impotent.
All this and he’s only looking fo $50k?
People who spill hot coffee in their laps sue for millions.
Assuming 30% legal fees, he stands to gain about $34k. That’s far less than the annual cost of his fancy hotel suite in DC.
Me thinks the whole thing is a piece of theater to hide the real cause and to feed the media “an acceptable narrative”.
Look for news of it being settled out of court with the settlement agreement being sealed because of the “painful and embarassing facts of the loss of consortium” Reid and spouse had to disclose in deposition.
Let me guess:
The mob that did this to him has a controlling stake in the company.
They’ll “settle” to cover their tracks, and his.
They should tell Reid that if he doesn’t drop this, they’ll see that the damage to both sides of his face match up.
Possibly both.
So it's a contrived lawsuit to satisfy his clueless voters and supporters.

We at AthletesR’Us do not believe that you have a valid claim against our company. Although it is not specifically specified on a warning label - as you suggest - it is not normal usage of our equipment to operate the treadmill while taking a shower.
We know you are a very clean person that does not wish to sweat . . . but really?
