I guess the observation that if it really happened he would have sued got to him.
How could he not know whether it “broke or slipped”? Is it broken or not? It’s just a rubber band; it’s not an airplane where we have to wait for an FAA analysis to figure out what happened. Just look at it.
I am surprised that he would bring up the lack of conjugal relations as a reason for suing, especially since he is 75. But, of course, I am naive.

When it “happened”, he didn’t pursue a lawsuit.
