If you need an example of the definition of Virago sHrillary meets the first one: A woman regarded as noisy, scolding, or domineering. While Gold Meir or Margaret Thatcher would be a perfect example of the second: A large, strong, courageous woman.
The most obvious connection to this word is Hillary — virago of the Dems for the last 40 years.
As long as we are posting other articles this AM, let me offer this shameful example which is all the buzz in Wisconsin this week.
