Something you don’t see every day there.
Have you been to Russia?
Nah, afraid my reaction to all the smoking would ruin it. Same reason I have never visited Europe.
What about the smokin’ hot women? LOL
But he certainly makes a case for motorcycle commuting!
I have a thought on a possible outcome. If Red Bull pulls out of F1, there is a $500 million dollar penalty ($100 million per year until 2020).
Both Mercedes and Ferrari are scared of a Red Bull chassis with their power unit fighting against them.
The rumor of Audi buying, partnering or joint venture with Red Bull appears off due to diesel gate. Audi was going to use their sports car racing budget and Red Bull was going to contribute $80 million dollars........ mmmmmm same $80 million dollars Red Bull gets for showing up from F1 each year.
So maybe Renault will take Red Bull and Toro Rosso Racing off Dietrich Mateschitz's hands for a very low price. Red Bull could still advertise on the new teams' cars, but at a much more attractive cost. Renault would get two great teams for a very low price and could sell off Toro Rosso down the road to maybe pay for the whole deal!
Renault gets their historical payment, Bernie saves adding another team to the historical payment list. Bernie losses only one team (Lotus) instead of two (Red Bull / Toro Rosso). Renault get the one of the best teams in F1. Red Bull so far is 4th in the season.
So Renault would win, Bernie would win and the fans would win with Dietrich Mateschitz out of the sport!
And if someone would fund Lotus, Renault could sell them engines. Another source of of income for Renault.
wouldn’t THAT be something!!!

Russian Grand Prix organisers have launched an official investigation into how a cleaning vehicle left the Sochi track covered in diesel ahead of the first Formula 1 practice session.
Friday morning’s track running was delayed for 30 minutes while marshals and fire crews dealt with a diesel spillage that had happened over the second half of the track.
Circuit consultant Richard Cregan told Motorsport.com: “It was a vehicle that was cleaning the track this morning but was also dropping diesel at the same time.
“It was quite an unfortunate situation really, as it meant the teams had less running time.
“There was quite a lot of spillage, so the track workers did a good job in getting everything ready. But we have apologised for what happened.”
Investigation underway
Race promoter Sergey Vorobyev said the organising committee would look in to the details of what happened, although welcomed the fact that the timetable had been not impacted.
“All the practice sessions are running according to schedule, so the incident is not critical,” he said.
“There was a diesel spill and it took us some time to clean it - which caused the delay.
“So there will be an investigation and it is an internal matter now.”
