As is usually the case, the book went into much more detail and was probably better. I haven’t seen the movie yet.

I haven't seen the movie, just finished the book. I recommend the book as a reasonably easy and quick (and for me at least, highly enjoyable) read. Not as geeky as a Clancy novel; has a few predictable turns, and a few unpredictable ones.

I'm an old geek, FWIW, and didn't cringe at the science.
