I would agree. In our family my the Matriarch of the Chinese half of my grandson’s family gave him his Chinese name. It is a family honor to be asked to name the baby and holds certain responsibilities. Zuckerberg was showing his ignorance of Chinese culture and was being inappropriate.
Sounds to me like he was essentially asking the President of China to be the baby’s Godfather, and the President of China was saying I don’t even KNOW you.
