I am increasingly suspicious -- almost convinced -- that these spree-shootings are orchestrated. Let us consider: Only days after Boehner resigns (but stays around through October, able to defy his base) TWO mass shooting events occur within hours of one another: The college in Oregon, and a lesser-publicized Inglis, Florida mass-shooting.
If Obama seemed angry, I suspect it was because the second shooting was so small. Note how the two shootings make a perfect diagonal across the country, symbolically book-ending us with violence.
It's really hard to be the point-man in this controversial subject -- that the mentally-ill and medicated can and are manipulated to commit acts of mass murder for political gain -- but point-man, I shall be. I'll take the catcalls of "conspiracy theorist" and "tin foil hat wearer" and so on. So long as the dialogue is started, I'll take the heat.
It is actually well-known that low-level microwave radiation can cause deleterious mental effects on the brain:

Some of the effects are irritability, sleeplessness, and bad decision-making skills. In the 1970's, the Soviets were bombarding the American embassy in Moscow with these radiations. We objected strongly, and our cover-story was that there were passive eavesdropping devices in the walls... but from the publicly-available research, we know that there was an additional -- perhaps primary -- concern. That concern was that our personnel's mental acuity was lessened by these radiations.
This microwave effect is something we already know is factual. This research is public. What research is there, classified as secret (or beyond) on manipulating and directing a mentally-ill, medicated individual to perform acts suggested by a handler?
The CIA has had decades of experience in 'handling' people, by an agent, to perform actions that are in the Agency's best interests. The experience is out there.
Before anyone tells me that Obama and his minions would never allow innocents to come to harm in order to advance a gun control agenda, I remind you of Fast and Furious (the ATF gun-running scandal). In this scandal, semi-automatic firearms were allowed to end up in the hands of Mexican drug gangs. Many innocent people died, slain by the firearms made available by Fast and Furious. Obama has shown quite clearly, the ability to promote the death of innocent people so that he can get his precious gun bans.
Wait. What? Two different people for the father? Please explain.
Any one thinking that gubmint could "never" stoop to such lows, and would "never" be able to accomplish such, just needs to look into MKUltra and other such programs. (And keep in mind, this stuff was started decades ago, the advances in pharmacology alone makes those early efforts look like child's play.)
That was what I was thinking, that the timing for this Oregon shooting was highly suspicious to have the MSM look the other way on the Russia/Syria/Putin debacle until 0bama can get his SXIT together.

Why isn’t there a suicide watch list, too, with parents and friends being alerted to the seriousness of anyone talking about it. Might as well put the surveillance to good use.

The shooters are youngish men, usually under some type of psychiatric care, or known to be weird.
The “minders”, the pysch docs, usually have some connection to the Dept. of Defense. This was so in the Aurora theater shooting and the I believe the Sandy Hook shooting. I am not sure about the Navy Yard guy.
We had POWS in the Korean War undergo mind control experiments—hence the movie “Manchurian Candidate” in 1962 with Frank Sinatra.
The movie “Telefon” with Lee Remick (sigh!) and Charles Bronson dealt with delayed programming via telephone call, whereas a Soviet sleeper agent was activated to do harm to targets, preprogrammed into the mind.
The speed with which Obama got on TV yesterday, with His totally predictable and nauseating fake anger, shows he needed to get in front of this situation to milk it for maximum effect.
Notice the complete lack of anger when five military recruiters are slaughtered, or when his buddy Rahm’s city, Chicago, experiences more gun violence than any other place in the country on a consistent basis, despite the strictest gun control laws in the US.
I am tired of this routine. Mass shootings started with Clinton’s Presidency, many of them in schools.
Soon, with ISIS and other Perps, we will see malls and shopping centers targeted, perhaps even sporting venues.
And no, I do not trust anyone in Homeland Security to protect us.

Its all psychological manipulation with a little assistance from operatives. Just an example of how it could be pulled off...
1. Set the goal - create mass shooting at X location.
2. Identify target matching psychological profile that would carry out the act. Example - troubled college student with psycholoical problems that is unconfident, has relatiobship problems, one parent family, has anger issues, pays attention or has commented on social problems in social media, is under psychologists’s care, is on psychotropic drugs
3. Engage target online speaking to issues that anger him acting setting up a profile that appears as the perfect adversary; if he is black, be white supremist; make statements will provoke him over and over into it forments into rage. Make him feel inferior like you are looking down on him. Dare him.
4. Ensure that he gets access to a gun via using an operative who is a plant that befriends him using a cover as a student. Plant thoughts that he needs to buy one for self ptotection from the white supremist buddy. Show him websites that feed the hatred and violence to solve his “problem” (other white people).
5. Create emotional disturbances and events that will cause hime to need to unleash. If he has a girlfriend steer her to a white man. She dumps him. He now wants revenge.
6. Make sure he takes his meds...
In other words steer him right down the channel to the target incident. All the while he is being monitored and evaluated to ensure that he is manipulated to commit acts if violence that he feels are justified in his drug addled state...
