Bomb.
One season or less. Just by the commercials alone.
But then, I think that goes for most new “comedy” shows.
We have not watched a sitcom in 20 years. They are trash.
“The Mindy Project”.
*snort*
Words fail. Not just that someone thought that this was a valid and/or interesting concept, but that someone higher up actually condoned the final production going forward.
Never watched it, and willing to bet whoever did are nothing more than braindead elitists who are proud of the fact that they are presenting an “enlightened” programme for all to see.
The fact that some people actually LIKE such programmes is quite depressing, actually.
Will this comedy include the FOX three stooges: BAIER, KELLY, and WALLACE?
haven’t watched a network sitcom since Seinfeld. nothing but dreck, just like the rest of network shows.
The things we howl at are not on sitcoms, but lines and situations on shows like “Sherlock”, “Midsomer Murder”, “Doc Martin” and “Californication”.
You laughed at Seinfeld? Seriously? I have watched episodes over the years and have barely gotten past a chuckle.
I’m older, OK?. The ads for the show don’t entice me to watch. .....I also admit that I’ve never watched an episode of Seinfeld, as I remember back when he was a young standup comic and he wasn’t funny then.
Sitcoms today can’t match those of years ago, like Soap, Taxi, Cheers (I watch on Hallmark on early weekday mornings).
Political Correctness has totally ruined the sitcom industry that employs real people. Animated comedy like South Park can still do well without the PC interference.
I have tried to catch the new series that I thought might be interesting.
(1) Blindspot: Not bad, has possibilities
(2) Blood & Oil: Dallas in North Dakota, and Don Johnson is fun to watch.
(3) The Player, Not bad and good to see Wesley Snipes back.
(4) Minority Report: So So and not impressed.
Have not watched Quantico or The Grinder Yet.
The Mindy Project (I just looked it up - never watched the show) lasted 3 seasons and Hulu has picked up a 4th season.
Grandfathered might last 4 episodes.
Often, when the wife and I see trailers for new shows, we mention that we’ve probably seen the funniest stuff that will appear on the show in that trailer.
If that is true for grandfathered, yikes, the trailers are not funny in the slightest. And Stamos is, well, about as wooden an actor as a lawn ornament.
Will it have a “laugh track”?
I don’t watch anything with a laugh track.
I think Stamos plays for both teams.
