“Finally seemed like someone (Daniel) was DOING, instead of just reacting and accepting.”
Did you catch Madison’s reaction after Daniel returned from the torture chamber covered in blood...?
“Did he tell you anything we can use?” (I’m paraphrasing.)
Tough lady.
heh. You may be on to something. Somebody was gonna unlock those doors along the way.
Why would they leave Travis a weapon? Smart move, IMHO
Though the troopies didn’t know it, Travis already had experiences with zombies plus 9 days survival with the FSA/NG dropping food & such...
-Went to the place where druggie Nick said everyone was dead & ignored the bloody evidence - CHECK
-Drug dealer black guy who refuses to die & ignored - CHECK
-Watching Zombie noshfest while stuck in traffic during riots & ignored - CHECK
-Getting home & seeing neighbor-lady turned and getting ready to make her hubby a Happy Meal - ignored - CHECK
-Can’t man up & shoot Kimmy DoNuts, though she was obviously an issue. And needed instruction for using a scoped...well, it didn’t matter. Who puts their eyeball directly on the sight in the first place? RECOIL - CHECK
-and did nothing to help them except hide out in the MRAP & pee his pants & wait for the ride home - CHECK - TYPICAL.
I’m sure there’s more, but those are just the ones I can think of off the top in 1 minute.
Travis is the slowest of the slow learners. Denial...how much do we gotta take?
Like the military supply depot they are using, too.
Did he tell you anything we can use? (Im paraphrasing.)
‘Atta Girl.
Funny, last week, I’d hoped they all get eaten....this week, Madison & Daniel won me over...at least enough to watch the finale....
Of course, if I knew those bratty kids were going to be zombie-snacks, I’d watch, too.
And Travis...what’s it going to take to wake his pathetic butt up? We’re stuck with him....like LORI. Shame he can’t die in childbirth....
We know all that but the NG’s didn’t with the exception of shoot/don’t shoot Kimmy Donuts.
Plus NG Sgt didn’t act as if he had any prior dealings with Travis outside the Humvee trip and even tried to stop the Lt. from forcing Travis to do something he wasn’t comfortable doing. So it appeared he had a soft spot for the civilians until the backup mission went FUBAR at the library.
The other one is denying his kid that someone was in the house outside the compound, telling the Lt, about it and then seeing the muzzle flashes.
Yes he is a complete bonehead and needs to have his head rewired to remove it from his dumbass
“And Travis...whats it going to take to wake his pathetic butt up? “
Travis is being brought along slowly in the story. And, he’s fighting every step.
He went from “You know how I feel about guns.”, and “We’re not ball-peening the neighbor in the head”...to wrapping his hands around a Barrett .50 caliber, holding his mouth open to relieve pressure, and zeroing in on the donut shop girl. Yes, he was moderately forced...but Capt Moyer relented when Travis just couldn’t pull the trigger.
That situation was more “killing for sport” than survival. I predict Travis will come around when either the wife, ex-wife or one of the kids is about to become Z-snackfood. Then...he’ll pull the trigger.
TWD comes back on my birthday!! I’m so excited!!! It’s like a birthday present!!!
The only one I find likable is the heroin addict. *sheesh*
My husband just watched it and he’s pretty pissed about the depiction of the soldiers.
*sob* You like me, you really like me!!!!!
and thanks!!!
LOL!
You’re welcome...I thought you’d like it.
(I know I do)...
Yay! :D
I think he merely showed him the key, not offered it. Look at who the guy had in his ‘cell’. A total weakling (now gone) and a drug addict coming out of it. The drug addict has probably done bad things to keep his habit. It’s weeks in and he has survived so far, and has kept his habit. He looks like crap but was just brought in. He can survive, distrusts authority and will do a lot to keep surviving. Better than the cry-baby at least. And the guy knows that his expensive watch and cuff links are merely trinkets to trade and worth less every day.
He showed it to him to get him to trust him.
And to your point 1 - he did the right thing in abducting him and torturing him. I’m still in shock that the barber was a bad guy before but fled to the US. Good point given the Syrian refugee situation!
I think your points are dead on.
I’m apocalypsing out. Watching Lost, Survivor and the Last Ship. Each series has its good points and helps me appreciate FTWD. Cannot wait until TWD of course.
I think I see bits of Shane in the barber.
I liked Tobias. And the older Salvadorean man
I think he also said something like “heroin addicts are the gold standard of junkies” My thoughts were that he can get Nick to do most anything as long as he can feed the addiction.
