Thanks for sharing. Praise God your daughter came back to Christ. The power of prayer is amazing. I can’t say how happy I am for her and you that she is back in the fold.

Yes to all in your post.

Remember, though, the power is not in the prayer; it's in the One to Whom we pray.

Thanks so much to all of you for your kind words and sharing my joy in my daughter 'getting her mind right', she was not dating anyone of the Muslim persuasion at the time, which made her temporary adherence to Islam even more unexpected, her involvement with Islam spanned only about a 3 month period but I believe the Lord allowed her to get a real good look at the way that Islam treats women (as chattel and property), and she began to see the 'not-so-pleasant' side of that cult.

I believe that what triggered her sudden interest was a sympathetic reaction to those Muslim students who were killed in North Carolina over a parking space (of all things), she wasn't far from that area and joined in a so-called 'interfaith community prayer function' which was nothing more than Muslims looking to recruit those who are emotionally vulnerable and easily swayed.

My daughter fortunately had already studied enough ancient civilizations to have a working knowledge of their flawed practices, and between the prayers that were offered up in her behalf, combined with her logic eventually prevailing over her own emotions, I had faith that Islam's grip on her would only be temporary.

It was a painful experience, in which I had to say with all sincerity (and I did) "Lord? You know how much I love my daughter, but if it comes down to being 'tolerant' of her embracing Islam, which would be an insult to Your Name, I choose You, the King of kings and Lord of lords"

If it were not for Jesus, I would not exist, I would have no reason to exist, life would be meaningless.

And I still have a long way to go, however I try to do what I heard a good friend say years ago which is "each day, I try to do my best, and trust Jesus for the rest".
