You’re probably quite correct. The two of them are playing hard ball, but it’s Marco who has the record, and Trump is taking advantage of it. Marco can only attack Trump on style and make the media’s complaints against him, and that may not go over very well. Or eventually, with the help of the media, it may.

At some point, Trump will have to come up with new material on the stump, or do more interviews where I happen to believe he is at his best, imho, comfortable in his skin and very cogent, exact, and specific to the issue.

It seems to me these interviews that are best are with a non-belligerent interviewer, who will let him open up more.
Without advisers he is hard to read about when he might freshen up his ditty.

I think he has covered the early states pretty well with the *why he is running, *why he is the man for the job, and *what the cost will be to America if he doesn’t get elected to take care of things. Of all the candidates, none of them do it better. We all have it down, chapter and verse.

Hillary still can’t convince anyone why she is running. Jeb can’t either. Trump is a master at the basics. Perhaps to a fault.

It’s not that I dislike Trump’s confrontational style, but the media is obsessed with it and it’s ruining the campaign so far. If Fox would get off their high horse and let the man run without cutting him down to the dogs every day he would be 50% or better in the polls.
