I am relieved to know I am not the only one who has experienced issues.
Good idea...thanks!!
I may have a solution to Firefox problems being experienced with FF Release 40 and 41, with FF freezing (”Firefox is not responding”. Check out this post at adobe forum.

I down graded FF back to release 38.0.5 because FF had become unusable following rel 40 and 41, because of constant freezing, “Firefox is not responding”. After about 40 hours of using FF38.0.5 I’ve experienced no problems with crashes or freezes.
A frequent contributor was rightly concerned about the security vulnerability of using the downgrade, and has suggested instead, to install FF Extended Service Release (ESR), and explains how to do this (read the full thread). ESR is based on FF 38, and recieves security updates only.
I am about to install the ESR, using his instructions, and expect to have to reinstall Classic Theme Restorer, and play with the tool bar. I will report on that forum if ESR is successful (today is Wed 9/30/15).
You might read the thread posted. Reverting back to a safe version of FF (ESR) might solve FF 41 issues for you.
