Washington DC,and its establishment, has failed. It’s that simple.
They’re all trying to out-Trump Trump now that they’ve realized the usual tactics aren’t working. The only difference is that Trump has a purpose to what he’s doing. They don’t. They think they’ve figured out Trump’s appeal, and think they can duplicate it by just venting their frustrations via insults and they think that everyone will now flock to them. Wrong again. First off, there are substantive reasons people are flocking to Trump and not to them. In addition, Trumps attacks are strategic. These losers are just throwing a temper tantrum.
Sounds hugh & series.
I used to like Rich Loery and Tucker Carlson the best. Lowery has gone off the Rez.
“Im done with Trump. Done, done done!. ... His petty antics are wasting our time, and are destroying his credibility.”
Wasting our time? What do you think he should be doing instead? He’s not President. He can’t go start building the wall, or implement any of his other policies yet.
What do you think the purpose of campaign season is? To build support to win the nomination. If you really wanted to see Trump as our next President, you’d understand that.
By the way, if this latest brouhaha is what did it for you, I’m curious as to why. He was not the one leveling insults in this instance. It was Rich Lowry.
“American presidents are supposed to be beacons of hope steely figures in a dangerous world.”
Not so much.
Not in the Constitution.
We don’t need another let’s get along guy.
We need the Terminator who makes radical changes to roll back the plague of regulations, government agencies, failure on the world stage, etc. Someone with thick skin to take the fight after them.
Like many others, I wish he’d step up keeping on message.
He does understand that the media and establishment are enemies and he is taking the fight to them.
He is a lone voice.
If the media companies survive on ratings, hit them in their ratings.
If the establishment survives on lobbyist money, call them out.
Right on. Right on. go Trump. Decimate them.
Trump is making some of the same mistakes that Sarah Palin did. Getting all wrapped up in petty inconsequential B.S. on such a regular basis that inconsequential B.S. becomes their Calling Card. This goofball behavior; The Sticky Clown, who annoys everybody, becomes the first and ONLY impression that pops into a voters mind, not the brave and cerebral, Christian Patriot, worthy of leading the country.
People called me ‘nuts!’ when I suggested it last week, but I still think he’s doing this on purpose because he ‘had his fun, and is done playing that character’. Not to mention Donald doesn’t even have time to visit his many estates any more.
Yep.......water boys for the GOPe
That said, I like Jindal. Wish he would get more traction in this race.
You are so wrong!
It could be. Imagine live on-air zots!
"We'll be right back with a new host after we get the set cleaned up."
The point is, that there is a purpose behind what he’s doing. It’s playing out right in front of you and you’re totally missing it. He understands that what drives the media more than anything else is money. People for years have always assumed that the media has the upper hand. Trump is the first one to understand that HE has the upper hand. And he’s making that point right now. The media needs him more than he needs the media, and they are on the defensive. If you understood that you would appreciate how masterfully he’s handled things.
I’m a diehard Trump supporter since day he announced. But I am starting to have serious doubts about him, and he’s causing the doubt himself. I thought he was getting ‘stale’ before Fox said it the other day. He needs to up his game dramatically.
He IS thin-skinned, he focuses too much on himself and the polls. His speeches are predictable and when asked questions they don’t have much substance.
In S. Carolina, his answer to what he would do about lowering energy cost was shallow with little substance. Because of that I only watched about 10 minutes of his S. Carolina sitdown with Tim Scott. . He should have fleshed out a lot more of the issues by now.
I can’t stand Fiorina, but at least she put in the effort to get well prepared for the debate. It didn’t look like Trump had put in much prep at all.
Trump is petulant. If he can’t take the heat from Fox News how will he deal with the mainstream media. The guys is unelectable.
“You see Frank... There are many kinds of weapons and the only one that can stop that is this.”-Morton-Once Upon A Time In The West.
He's leading the polls and beating cankles. Now what are you going to do?
I think I've read that before. Seventy or eighty times.
As Trump himself has pointed out, all the candidates have hand written speeches that they deliver time and time again. You don’t notice it because their speeches don’t get the publicity that Trump’s speeches do. If you saw the last 10 speeches that Walker, Rubio, Bush, or any of the other candidates have given they would be almost identical. Trump delivers his speeches without a script, so while some of it is repetitive, there’s more variation in them than those of the other candidates whose speeches are totally scripted.
Another National Review crybaby desperately seeking relevance.
I’m not familiar with that quote, but I get your point.
