Aren’t combines expensive? That's exactly what I was thinking.
Also, I don't know where Kansas is in its crop cycle, but in the Upper Midwest the farmers are going to really need their combines starting in the next month. I can't imagine a farmer suffering this kind of loss at this time of year.
