The reason Global Warming/Climate Change appeals to the Pope and the left is that the solution involves redistribution of wealth. It is the reason why it is being pushed.

The rich, developed countries are supposed to help the poorer countries cope with climate change by providing money and expertise to help them move away from carbon based energy sources. It involves the transfer of trillions of dollars from rich to poor nations.

If this pope turns out to be THE false prophet in the end days referred to in the Bible...then yes indeed, he is aware of the Anti-Christ. Only too aware, I'm betting. So we have an opportunity to observe this pope and see if we can figure out who that is.
