I am a pysicist and engineer- this is the single biggest vulnerability of the USA

Nothing personal but all the Y2K hysteria was led by IT experts.

Y2K ‘hysteria’ saved the USA from a lot of grief.

I made a lot of money fixing old code that would have failed on 1/1/2000.

It was real, and if not fixed would have been a disaster, if not for the ‘hysteria’ and the urgency to fix it that it created.
