I think they are trying to “Show us stuff” rather than being an accurate attempt to depict life under such a threat scenario. I think that is what trips viewers up because we play the scenario out in our heads and think “I would do X or Y” but the characters seem to do something stupid like “do option Z” because it is leading to something.
I don't think you did. I believe she was commending Eliza for doing such a good job on the Mom *without* antibiotics, not that there weren't any.
I'm going to have to play that part back now, lol.

Some people need to just step back and enjoy these programs for what they are...........Sheesh!

I just looked on the cast at imdb and noticed that Tobias is in 2 episodes of FTWD. So maybe he comes back as a zombie, or is the one signalling and dies. But he’s not a continuing cast member.
He is still, by far, the best character the show has.

I’d call you prepared :) Many people aren’t. My family probably isn’t as much as we should be either (not for a ZA because that won’t happen, but an “end of life as I know it” thing). We went through a few normal emergencies and first thing I do is fill the tub and sinks for water and make sure we have enough firewood in case gas and electric go out.But, I’m not a prepper so we only have maybe a month’s worth of food.
That’s why I really enjoyed TWD beginning eps and now this show. It’s showing basically clueless or way too optimistic people/family and how they are dealing with something that is totally out of their realm of understanding.
I’d probably be torn between staying in my home and taking off for anywhere else. I’d think, as long as we were all together (me, my husband and four kids), we’d be ok or at least together. I’d also want my brothers and sisters-in-laws and nieces and nephews and friends but the most important would be the six of us. My girls would be freaking out about their boyfriends of course.
I know the show has been renewed so hopefully all of that will play out and they’ll wake up as some in TWD have. I’ll enjoy the journey of watching their stories unfold.
