To: Wyrd bið ful aræd

So basically it’s a man’s haircut from the WWII through late 1950’s era. What’s old is new again. Much better than smelly long haired hippies.

Many men from that era and before used a lot of pomade on their hair. "Brilliantine" was very popular as well as other hair oils/creams like Vitalis, Brylcreem, and a number of others.

I remember back in the sixties one of my older (in his seventies) cousins telling my brother and me to use cocoa butter to "train" our hair. He became a little upset when we started laughing because we thought he was kidding. But he was serious. We never did resort to cocoa butter.
