Sorry...I posted silliness without reading the whole article.
Sad that someone felt that life was no longer worth living.

It was real comedy. I remember listing to Fibber McGee and Molly, Fred Allen, Jack Benny, And So many others on the old Philco radio.
That was great comedy.

I was born in 52, so most of my comedy was from TV.
I Love Lucy,
McHale’s Navy,
Milton Berle,
F-Troop,
and later on,
Monty Python and SNL.
And of course, the Stooges every Saturday Morning!

LOL. You are a young'un then.....
Of course I remember the first TV shows too. I remember seeing my first TV in 1948. It was considered a miracle of the time...
BTW, I was born somewhat before WWII got started. Depending on wheather you accept it started in 1939 (it did) or 1941 (US entered war)
I was either 1 yrs old or 3 yrs old when it started.lol
I just wanted to confuse the issue a bit.lol

I liked TV, but I REALLY loved my Dad’s Hi-Fi record player! Mostly Classical records, but Broadway Shows, Hank Williams, Comedy, and the Kingston trio! Music 24/7.

It certainly isn’t.
Good luck to you,too.
At least we were lucky enough to know the best of this country——I barely recognize it anymore.
