And then you, re_nortex say
which was then followed later in that thread by people calling you a retard.
Yet that, was for the way you over-reacted on that thread, which effectively equates with yourself playing right into their hands, if it was meant not only as "reconnaissance", but also a fishing expedition intent on dredging up an over-reaction.
You provided support for the over-reaction one silly schoolteacher had. She saw a digital read-out, a digital clock face put into a small metal box.
Who in the hell makes bombs LIKE THAT except for Hollywood?
And now, because of the over-reaction, if this was all intended, instead of just being some geeky teenage fiddling with low-grade consumer electronics -- which is still strongly possible is all it was --- the kid goes to the White House, and momentum is gained against 'profiling' of Islamics, which profiling is the very thing which you say you support.
Congratulations. If this was deliberate, they played you for a fool, and had you knee-jerk reacting just like they would have wanted, causing you to shoot your own cause (which I have some amount of sympathy for) right in the foot!
Pry the ice cream cone off your forehead, before posting, and I'll stop thinking of you as developmentally disabled, as for this single 'story' in the news cycle.
We've got to be smarter, more cunning than our adversaries.
Never do what the adversary WANTS one to do. Or at least -- do it in a way he won't like, or be able to take advantage of.
I seriously doubt that you realize that you've dug the hole you were in, even deeper...
Well said. This massively dumb incident can be chalked up entirely to the stupid-assed public schoolteachers whom pulled the trigger. Then, the dumbasses here are doubling down on the stupidity and fanning the flames with anti-Muslim rhetoric, instead of seeing this for what it was:
A kid whom likes to tinker with electronics and brought one of his projects to school to show off.
The fact that none of the posters here ever did this as kids tells me a lot about the readership of this thread.
I don’t think the teacher was silly. The kid shows up with what looks like a primitive bomb and probably strutted up to her desk with a smirk on his face. He’s probably given her trouble before.
I seriously doubt that I don’t give a f**k for your opinion.

xactly
LOoks like this wasn't a genuine science/engineering project. but an "art project" designed to demostrate what a bunch of gullible nervous nellies Murricans are.
Mission accomplished!
