Son - impressionable lad who feels bad at how all the down trodden people are treated
Daughter - young girl who is exploring her sexuality with the girl down the street.
Maid - repressed illegal who just wants a better life
Cook - an older lady who the system has failed and has no retirement due to corporate lay offs and must supplement her social security check.

Mary Poppins - A smart, wise (minority of choice) who provides pearls of wisdom that guide the daughter into feeling good about her lesbian feelings, encourages the son to put aside his white privilege and help the poor, comforts the maid and the cook and even helps the dad to understand how evil the system is and changes his outlook so that from now on he will work to help others.
