The police seem adamant that it wasnt explosives so that pretty much leaves propane. Gas explosions are mighty powerful. They are awfully cautious about speculating that it was propane though. Like this

The explosion completely leveled Ken Swensons home. The blast turned it into splinters of wood, shards of glass and pieces of insulation that created a debris field 100 yards in diameter. Pieces of the home were stuck high in the branches of trees, far from where the home once stood.Yep, like that. Yikes!
Propane and natural gas are to be respected.
