I don’t think that is Jindal’s real personality. It came across as sophomoric. I would be willing to bet that the GOPe put him up to it as part of the establishments plan to take Trump down.
Great, yes!! Republicans stand up to Trump. Iran getting a nuke? Not so much. But what is important is that they are standing up to Trump. Yeah. Bobby, try turning your fire on the Whigs.
Did he go after Obama’s ears, nose wart, and lack of piety?
No, and he’s too oblivious to notice it.
Finally? Why finally? My Facebook feed is full of Republicans and conservatives bashing Trump. Their eyes are not opened. Obama has them in a trance where they forget what the goal is. They can’t rise above their own intellectual contests and social judgments, possibly. Their own high regard for themselves and their ability to bloviate. Too much fun to show off.
Keep your eye on the ball, folks. It was never more important than now.
Kaminsky is a little late. We already have a “non-serious, unstable, substance-free narcissist” as President.
Trump is a product of the disgust with Boehner, McConnell, and all the rest of the Establishment GOP that have betrayed, undermined, attacked, and slandered conservative and libertarian ‘Pubbies and Tea Partiers. Maybe Jindal and Kaminsky could do a little reflecting on this and consider a better way to cut into Trump’s numbers?
Jindal made an ass out of himself and he is toast.
Ya know why? I will tell you.
Trump never insulted him. GOPe had him do their bidding and we all know it.
Bye Jindal.
I have searched for -— but cannot find -— a video clip of the scene in FIFTH ELEMENT when the solar system defense ships launch a salvo of missiles at the approaching giant ball of black fire and the admiral on the flagship reports back to the president that the missile strike only made the object grow larger.
It’s such a great metaphor for all attacks on Trump.
i’m not really a fan of the whole “alpha vs. beta” terminology that you find amongst the younger crowd these days, but in this case it’s a good way of describing why Trump is getting traction with people.
Trump is alpha.
the rest of the GOP field is beta.
people respond to “alpha” qualities positively. even if the “alpha” is a jerk or not well informed, you know what he stands for because he’s not afraid of offending anyone by speaking his mind. he just doesn’t care if people don’t like him. this is part of the reason women are attracted to “alpha” men. Trump’s personality and willingness to be his own man are what people are responding positively to. he’ll be a disasterous candidate in my opinion, but so long as the rest of the GOP field is full of betas, it’s his nomination to lose.
the problem is that the beta men (and Carly) in the rest of the field are desperately needy. they need to be liked. they need to not offend. this turns off women. it also turns off men. betas seem weak and unsure of what they really believe or unwilling to express an opinion outside of the mainstream. in short, they are not their own men. they bend and contort to what they think others want them to be.
this is why i think Trump could pull lots more women to voting for the GOP this time around. he could also pull lots of low/no information voters into the election this time around. i still want Cruz to be the nominee, but unless Trump stumbles, it’s his race to lose. the good news is that he’s likely to stumble lots of times between now and the nomination next summer.
ever go to a bar where a local famous athlete happens to also be? you see all the women in the bar vying for his attention, and all the guys in the club trying to become his friend. that’s Trump right now. the rest of the GOP field are the guys standing together (by themselves) along the wall grumbling to themselves, “what’s he got that i haven’t got?!”. if they want to get noticed, they need to act more like Trump. in this regard, what Jindal did was a good first step for his own campaign. at least he now looks less wimpy than the rest of them.
not a perfect analogy, but i think it helps explain some of what’s going on so far.
I agree.
The GOP controls congess. It should be very obvious that if the RNC supported Trump, then the Republicans would capture the presidency as well. Trump in on a roll, Hillary is self-destructing. The media can’t manage to hurt Trump. If the GOP united behind Trump, then the GOP would control both the executive and legislative branches of government.
And the GOP is focused on taking down Trump and is pressuring the small fry like Jindal to do their bidding.
It’s beyond stupid.
I didn’t realize Jindal was running.
to the author...eat shi’ite and die.....or sumthin like that.
First post that noticed that. If the GOPe put half as much effort into sticking it to the dems, as they do stabbing their best chances in the back, the dems would become an endangered species.
All this proves is that ALL of DC is bought and paid for, and the people paying for this show want their man in at all costs.
Unfortunately, their man was stupid enough to give campaign speeches in spanish to an electorate the speaks english.
Epic fail.
Thus the point of his hissy-fit.
Well, that and the GOPe who sees him as a temporarily useful tool.
Because the “Republicans” are owned by The Cheap Labor Express
Here’s a headline you’ll never see -
FINALLY, A REPUBLICAN STANDS UP AGAINST OBAMA
Oh pleez.
Something is happening here and you don’t know what it is
Do you?
Mr. [Jindal]
I hope that everyone can see by now the complete and total hypocrisy of the GOP for making Trump sign that bogus loyalty pledge.
Does anyone really think that Jindal or Paul or Bush will support Trump at all?
I don’t. I hope if they try any more tricks that Donald tears up that phony pledge on national TV.
