Totally agree. Anyone who claims supports the lawless abuse of power by the Supreme Court should shut up about liberty and limited government. No one who is a Republican or Conservative can support this and call themselves a believer in the “rule of law”.
Yup, that communists club of social misfits called the Supreme Court.
Long past time to label the Supreme Court for what it is: an enemy of the very nation whose Constitution they are bound to uphold.
The court needs to be scuttled and a new one sworn in for a term not to exceed six years.
McConnell and Bonehead will take care of this.
What about unjustified infringement of the fundamental right to carry?
The 10th and 11th Amendment prohibit the justices from making this decision. Neither the Constitution nor the Bill of Rights addresses marriage, homosexual or otherwise.
10th Amendment - The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
11th Amendment - The Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State.
Yep, everyone certainly “has the right to marry”. That is not at issue. What is at issue is the definition of marriage. So, now SCOTUS has just, by decree, redefined the word for the whole country.
