I think adherence to the Nicene Creed is foundational to Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant believers. And non-adherence is what puts Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, and Seventh Day Adventists outside the pale of conventional Christianity. That being said, it would not be the first or even the second reason why Dr. Carson isn’t my choice. As long as he’s not a crypto-Muslim, considering we’ve been in a more or less constant state of war with Islam for a millenium and a half, how the man chooses to worship God is his business.
You should know what you are talking about before you spout lies. This is from the SDA website:
GOD IN THREE PERSONS
God in Three Persons
BLESSED TRINITY
Jo Ann Davidson
Belief in a God of three persons is one of the most demanding biblical teachings. Christianity is the only world religion that makes this claim. The doctrine of the Trinity is truly distinctive of the Christian faith, crucial because it deals with who God is, what He is like, and how He works. Christians believe the doctrine is necessary to do justice to the testimony of Scripture, the primary source of our knowledge of God. We must speak concerning God in the terms He uses. Biblical evidence has three facets: (a) there is one God; (b) three-in-oneness; and (c) three persons who are God.

Gee.
Not voting for a socialist who was working to force The boy scouts to accept gay scout masters and inflicted the Massachusetts school system with a radical gay activist leader and who implemented the prototype for Obamacare is so much worse than the socialists who thought all those issues would be great to tie to the Republican party.
Homosexuality my be your agenda, but I support all those who oppose that agenda when the going gets tough. Like Carson.
They’ll come up with every possible reason people might not have voted for Romney except the correct one.
Are Adventists Evangelical?

No, I m not advocating that anyone not vote. Now is decision time and the facts need to be out so that voters make an informed choice.
If you mean do they evangelize -yes they do. But, if they are teaching doctrines not true they are turning people away from the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
Read the article.
Here we go again. Troll alert.
Yes, speaking. I did not vote for Romney, nor will I vote for any Mormon for my president, NOR Seven Day Adventist. As an orthodox Christian (not referring to the groups that use that name, the eastern Orthodox). Christian truth comes first, not whatever I may believe politically.
Romney being a Mormon had almost NOTHING to do with him losing the election.
The GOP base simply was not excited about a candidate that was forced on us when 70% wanted someone else.
The SDA’s have doctrines I don’t adhere to, and Ellen G. White has been wrong, I don’t deny it. But to equate SDA’s aberrations with Mormonism’s is over the top. Today, their statement is clearly trinitarian and they are well within the general umbrella of Christianity, aberrant as they might be. I’ll take a serious Adventist over a nominal mainline protestant or Catholic any time. (By the way, I don’t support Carson.)
Ministry Magazine? This is a Seventh Day Adventist publication.
I read to the part where it said the office work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God - not an office worker. He is the 3rd person in the Trinity and equal to the Father and Son in the Godhead. That right there is false teaching. The Holy Spirit speaks, he makes intercession for us - He convicts of sin, He can be grieved, etc. Therefore, He is not an office worker.
You’re cracking me up.
This may not be an issue for a lot of people, but when someone is leading this nation and bows their head to pray, I don’t want them to be praying in the name of a false Christ.
We have had a disastrous time with a heathen in the White House. If we don’t have someone of true faith to lead us soon, we will be finished. Divine Wisdom is required to lead us out of the mess we are in.
