When did we last hear Mitt, John or Mitch (or Yeb, or Chris, etc etc) utter the words ‘liberty’ or ‘freedom’?

I think the point is that Trump is just like those RINOs you mentioned.

A guy who would love to see Jeb Bush as the next nominee says Trump doesn’t speak enough of liberty and freedom for his GOPe tastes?
To: Steelfish
I’m a Cruz fan who appreciates what Trump is doing to the whole rigged system.

I think the point is that Trump is just like those RINOs you mentioned. So, why make that point for Trump and no one else?

Perhaps because the writer wants an actual Conservative instead of a RINO yet so-called conservatives are flocking to Trump?

No .. square business ...
WE here in FreeRepublic use the words "liberty" and Freedom" ALL the time ... just in passing
Steelfish has a point, and I'm a Trump fan
This is no time to be frivolous ... this is our last chance to save America
When I first listened to Rush in the 90's or something, he used to sign off, "Remember folks, words MEAN something" .. I never forgot that

stalking horse noun stalk·ing horse \ˈstȯ-kiŋ-\ : someone or something that is used to hide a true purpose; especially : a candidate for a political office or position who has no real chance of winning but is being used by a political party to weaken the support for an opposing party, to find out if another candidate might be successful, etc.......................... Keep it to yourselves, but Trump is just enjoying himself raising hell and running interference for the real candidate, you know who: rhymes with `Ted Cruz'.

Freedom and liberty are nice words - but so are ‘America’ and ‘great’.

If you cannot win an election, you get nothing. A candidate anymore cannot have a very narrow appeal. He or she has to be able to take votes away from the other party.
I haven’t seen that out of any other candidate so far.

I doubt it.
Without Trump in this race it would go the same way it always does, with usual gang of RINO stooges pretending conservatism, diluting the vote, defeating any real conservative who happens to be running, while the anointed cruises to the nomination.
I’m sure Mr Geraghty has noticed the trend.
Trump has changed all that. Anyone who is tired of the way the republcan primaries ALWAYS play out ought to welcome his participation.
