New Britain Rock Cats (Conn.) about to play final game there, as the Eastern League team will move to nearby Hartford to become the Yard Goats (a term for a hard working locomotive I think?). In a few years the International League’s Pawtucket Red Sox hope to move to nearby Providence with a new stadium, though the proposal is still up in the air.

Saw a game of Altoona Curve last month on a nice night for baseball—fun stadium location surrounded by a hill and an old wooden roller coaster. Congrats on playoffs.

Where I believe they'll be the Rhode Island Red Sox. Instead of the Pawsox, they'll be the Risox.

Pawtucket has been the Red Sox' AAA team since 1968 or 1969, one of the longest-standing relationships in baseball.

You know, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Atlantic League starts eyeing that ballpark.
