Baseball players, managers and umpires are such drama queens. None of the other major sports has as many prima donnas.

Well Umps,

Just finished watching the Mariners at Oakland. The guy behind the plate seemed to have real problems calling strikes that were in the low area of the strike zone; yet, called a strike that was well outside the strike zone. The little strike zone that they can display is the reason we are asking these questions.
Maybe they should start using the technology for the playoffs and World Series games. Those are the ones that matter. But, I'm at a point where I would be willing to try it out on regular games.

The Cardinals ended their game last night on strike 5.

Edward Carl Gaedel (June 8, 1925 June 18, 1961) was an American with dwarfism who became famous for participating in a Major League Baseball game.

Yes. YES! K-zone is far more consistent. Stil need a home plate umpire but he’s like the other base umpires. So sick of lousy balls and strike calling.

Concur with the article. Feed the info to the ump and let the ump make the call.

Probably best that players (batters) call the balls and strikes themselves similar to golf where the player counts the strokes and assesses penalties.
