African Americans make up 17.4 percent of the federal workforce, as compared to 10.1 percent of the civilian labor force. But the percentage of African Americans drops dramatically with each rise in job grade. They hold 27.6 percent of the lowest positions (GS 1-4), 25.8 percent of GS 5-8, 15.7 percent of GS 9-12, 10.9 percent of GS 13-15 and just 6.9 percent of Senior Pay levels. Advance Your Career
Hispanics make up just 7.3 percent of the federal workforce versus 12.6 percent of the civilian labor force. They hold about 9 percent of the GS 1-4 and 5-8 job grade positions and 3.4 percent of Senior Pay-level jobs.

Representation Among Agencies and Departments
Minority hiring patterns also vary by government agency and department when representation is compared to that in relevant civilian job roles. According to the 2004 FEORP report, African Americans are well represented at the departments of Education, Housing and Urban Development, Veterans Affairs and Treasury.
Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are similarly represented in the US Navy, Department of Commerce, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
American Indians are concentrated in the departments of Health and Human Services and Interior, the Social Security Administration and the Smithsonian Institution.
Finally, Hispanics/Latinos are prominent at the Department of Homeland Security and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as well as the Social Security Administration.
It sure would bump up the white birthrates here. Then many rationales for allowing third world immigration (legal and illegal) would collapse
*cough*
Well, I didn’t wanna say that explicitly but..yeah!
Instead of a generation of Barren Baby Boomers aborting themselves out of existence because Paul Ehrlich and the Overpopulation misanthropes told them to, we’d have women who LIKE children and want to have a bunch.
Mass immigration is just replacing the children who were never born because of abortion and birth control - 55 million or so.
It’s no accident that the number of immigrants in the last 40 years is about equal to that. The economy didn’t end, it still needed employees.
So we gave up our country to people who had nothing to do with it and who are ethnically alien and hostile to us, all because a generation didn’t reproduce.
Sheer genius. Wait a minute...how smart are white people really??!
Yes—that’s true here!
Thumbs up!
Having lived in a number of different states and countries, I have found DC to be the most stratified, class oriented society. You can tell exactly where people came from and where they will be when they stop working. You can tell the few people that have jumped from one strata to another, because they try to dress up to their new peers and fail miserably. The number of outrageously ugly suits in DC is shocking to the eyeballs.
Yep, and think how efficient and respectable it used to be. Now, its run by the DMV lady’s sister and delivered by those who have neither the notion or capacity to understand uniformity, respectability and accountability.
I have seen mailmen actually sagging while delivering the mail with dreads halfway to their underwear. It’s effing disgusting.
I read the article but didn’t see where they answered the question about why they hire minorities. Quotas?
Two things that have really hurt America over the years. Diversity and multiculturalism. Especially the latter.
The problem there is that I worked in St. Paul MN, where, presumably there was a better class of people, but the feds were bound and determined to hire as many blacks as possible, and many of the blacks were military retirees who could barely function at the jobs they were placed into.
They deserve reparations due to suffering under Soviet style slavery. Or at least their parents did. They should have unlimited immigration here to make up for this plus a $50,000 bonus to get them started here.
