“How is a Senator allowed to have any say in the affairs of the House?”

Mark Meadows is the representative in the House for the 11th NC Congressional District. He has served in the House since January 2013. He is a Republican and defeated Democrat Hayden Rogers.

North Carolina is represented in the US Senate by two Republicans - Richard Burr and Thom Tillis.

The headline is incorrect. Mark Meadows is a “Congressman”, not a “Senator”.

Congress has two bodies: The House of Representatives and the Senate.

Members of the House of Representatives are called Representatives.

Members of the Senate are called Senators.

BOTH are called Congressmen.

Thank you for correcting my mistake . . and for refraining from rubbing my nose in it. Much appreciated.
