Sorry, I was referring to burgers, not chicken. That's what McDonalds used to serve when I was growing up. Hamburgers were 15 cents and cheeseburgers were 20 cents. And they were really good and contained real beef and cheese (before beef and cheese were redefined to contain other things). They used to have the number sold on their Golden Arches signs until they ran out space trying to keep track of the billions and billions sold.

I had to go to Kentucky Fried Chicken if I wanted chicken. I don't recall chicken nuggets or tenders being on the KFC (or McDonalds) menu back then. Anyway the chicken came with a bone in it. My grandsons are still in awe that a piece of chicken has bones and nuggets don't. Of course they prefer nuggets and chicken tenders since they don't have any bones.

Yes, the European socialists (and a some here in America) are Anti-American anything Americans have successfully invented, developed, built, or marketed for profit through individual effort. Socialists promise everyone a (free) "chicken in every pot" but always fail to deliver due to unexpected shortages or planning and distribution problems. But instead of the anticipated chicken, the committee is always pleased to announce there will be no shortage of turnips this year and everyone is guaranteed to get their share (if they hurry to get in line). And they can keep their old pot if they want to.
