The problem is, the instruction to do that was given in English. If our dear Mexican amigos could understand English, they could have simply pressed "1" when they got to that phone-menu option. :-)
(Can you imagine a deaf, dumb, blind, and tactilely impaired person trying to use that phone system? They wouldn't be able to hear the message, see the sign language, or feel the braille, so they would probably be denied the pleasure of reading your epic opus, but they wouldn't be able to complain about missing it either.)
