Brady was instrumental in getting responsibility for ball control returned to the clubs where before it was in fact handled by the officials.

Keep in mind the punishment was actually for how the actions of the Pats hurt the integrity of the game. No one who has actually read the Wells report, the appeal denial report and Bermen’s decision to overturn the suspension(only) can doubt Brady was directing those two hapless equipment guys.

What would be funny is if Brady's stats actually go up with the properly inflated balls. Maybe Brady was inadvertently giving himself a handicap with the underinflated balls. Didn't he start throwing a lot more touchdowns last season after the controversy happened? Athletes are funny like that, even superstitious about things to the point where they adopt practices that are detrimental to them.

I still can't imagine why under-inflated balls would help you throw the ball better. Maybe it's all a crock.
