I am not even sure that the GOP cares about the party being destroyed to be honest.

I don’t even really believe that they are in favor of this invasion for “cheap labor”.

I think they are for it for the same reasons the rest of government is for it. A permanent dependent underclass.

If one considers that the words “GOP” and “Republican” really no longer have any actual meaning and have been hollowed out by those within that party, I think it’s fair to assume that they don’t care about that distinction or that fate at all.

What they are, quite simply, are members of the ruling class, and if their current vehicle is destroyed, then they will shapeshift and melt into wherever they can go. They will be taken care of one way or another.

I believe that the goal of almost everyone employed by our government is in fact fundamental transformation at any cost.

Thank you BobL! I hate the Republican party almost as much as I hate the Democratic party. The GOPe has finally been exposed and we have the Donald to thank for it.

Pretty much dead on. I add this: That's it's not JUST immigration where Trump is the ONLY candidate (save for Cruz, but no one's listening to him but us) ... what's behind why Trump's immigration message is so powerful in terms of his support is that he's the only one saying 'this country is aimed at the toilet right now.' He's the only one, despite his positive slogan (actually the slogan identifies it,) who acknowledge that at the moment we are in deep trouble presently, but more so because of the direction and momentum.

I can't name a single candidate other than Trump and Cruz who takes seriously the idea that this country is standing by as its soul crumbles. Immigration is only a striking example of it. It's a specific incarnation of what's happening in every facet of the country's life.

None of them are concerned, and it reflects to me that none of them actually sense it.

To me, what makes Trump different, strikingly different, is that he, like I, is standing there saying 'is no one else noticing that my country is being destroyed by the weak and the stupid and the evil?' ... it's a non-intellectual, not even necessarily partisan elephant in the room that's been growing for a long long time now - only in retrospect is it clear that it goes back to Reagan leaving office. (I believe it started when we lost our enemy, the USSR ... it allowed sloth to set in, and sincerity to be forgotten)

This country is either in deep deep deep danger OR it's already lost. If you CAN'T see that, then you don't and probably never did love this country - you only loved what you could get for free.

Trump is feeling pain for this country. The elites don't feel it, which is the only thing that can explain the blank dumb look in their eyes seeing Trump doing so well. It's not that they don't get it intellectually or politically (they don't get it that way either) ... but their main blindness is they have not felt the pain most of us are feeling and have felt for a long long time now. So they don't get it, and they can't, and therefore they won't.

The direction of the country at this moment is fast, accelerating, and towards death - an accelerated replay of the Roman Empire. If you don't see that, and you don't feel pain because of it, sick to your stomach, then you can't understand Trump no matter what political analysis you apply.

Well stated. As for me, my support of Trump isn’t predicated on anger, or a ‘throw the bums out’ mentality. Many folks though are probably angry and with good cause. I’m past all that. In my case I’m finished. Finished with a GOP establishment that has repeatedly lied to me through a slew of broken campaign promises while viewing me with contempt. There was a time when I voted for the lesser of two evils like John McCain’s Presidential bid. No more. I simply am finished with that and with the GOP establishment.

All these elitists have never had regular associations. They dismiss those who disagree that Jebby is the fair haired anointed one. We do not agree, and find Jebby smug and annoying, and don’t like to talked down to as though we are spoilt children. Commentators like George Will need to be pitied for their cluelessness which in some cases borders on mental instability. We are not an isolated few. We are a majority, and these elites better get used to it, or be left in the dust.

Very well stated. You are, of course, right. $19T in debt, $100T (or more) plus in debt plus future obligations through 2050 (or so). That second number comes out to about $300,000 PER PERSON. To say, as Rubio now says, that this country is GREAT is simply a lie. It was great...it can be great again, but it is running on fumes right now and is about to get DEMOLISHED by a semi if we don’t QUICKLY turn it around.

Yes - Rubio’s statement was running through my mind too. It’s a deluded/blind statement, unconnected to reality. To think it alone ... it marks a candidate unfit to be a president of this country at this point in its history.

Great post! I would take issue with one point:

We really do have to have immigration. It must be legal so we can screen for disease and criminality. Preferably we would screen out for religion (Muslim).

Our population is shrinking and aging. We are not reproducing ourselves. This is not just a US problem but a worldwide problem. To think we can survive long term without legal immigration is incorrect.

Great vanity Bob.

Build the Trump Wall and then march all the GOPe traitors to other side with the illegals. Time for a reckoning!

“Great post! I would take issue with one point: We really do have to have immigration.”

Thanks and I agree, especially considering where my wife’s from. I think now we’re below replacement levels without immigration and, if for no other reason, if we are to remain a world power, we don’t have the luxury of depopulating . We definitely need people.

The Japanese are an interesting experiment to watch as they are WAY below replacement levels, yet they are still following their no-immigration policy - and it is making their society weirder and weirder, such as building robots for companionship and elder care.

Anyway, the question is not just how they come in, it is also where they come in from. Every country has the THE RIGHT to make that determination and I have no issue with us saying that we need to drastically slow down the flow of legal immigrants from south of the border and look elsewhere, such as to Asia, and soon to Europe again, as they will soon be seeing their consequences of the MILLIONS of Middle Easterners they are importing - I suspect that a lot of them will soon want to to be moving here, as their repopulation effort hits full speed.

“Never even thought to write those RUBBERHEADS a letter, personally I don’t think they can read.”

Thanks, I get your point. And actually this letter was based on a comment that I made in a different thread, but I decided the comment was good enough to be a stand-alone thread. I suspect that a fair number of the Elite do come to this site (and probably post here too), as they still want to know what the base thinks, even if the money-men will not permit them to address our needs.

But there comes a point where you have to tell the money-men to SHOVE IT. If they (the money-men) line up with Democrats on the most important issue in a generation, then so be it - let the Democrats have the money - it won’t help them a bit, considering just how far left they are now.

Without the big-money men, three things will happen to the Republican Party (assuming it follows Trump’s lead):

1) They will pull-in a LOT MORE VOTERS - people that are simply fed-up with them trying to be Democrat-lite. And white, working class voters, millions of them. And possibly a fair number of blacks and (legal) Hispanics too.

2) They will need to raise money from people who are not rich...and that is possible, if they have a decent message - it may only be checks of $200 or so, but there are tens of millions of us.

3) They will need to lean-out a bit, and (again following Trump) drop most of their high-priced ‘advisers’ (most of them gay, by the way). Just what good did Frank Luntz do for them when his hand-picked ‘focus group’ claimed that Trump got destroyed in last month’s debate? Trump is now in the upper 30s - he’s on the verge of locking this thing up months before the first primary, faster than any candidate, of either party has ever done with no incumbent, even Reagan took longer in 1980.

So you made that post into a thread...excellent, it will get more attention.

Your journey to Trump virtually matches mine. First, he was a clown, someone who didn’t belong in the race; then I started listening and began to admire his guts, and after seeing the attacks on him by the GOPestablishment I really began to pay attention. I began to view him as the 2nd choice to Cruz. Then I read Coulter’s “Adios America” and realized that immigration is THE issue of the campaign. That did it...Trump is now my candidate.

“The GOP has yet to understand that the illegal invasion unchecked, will destroy the party...no amount of pandering to illegals will grow the party.”

Worse: it will destroy the country...and the GOPe simply doesn’t care, it is only interested in its control of the Party. To Hell with them...these people are the ones Washington worried about as he saw party politics beginning.

Cool, and thanks. I think that we all went through the same regarding Trump. We had 16 candidates or so...what the hell was another, big whoopie. Trump made a few birther noises prior regarding Obama, but that was about it. Most of us figured that even if Obama lied through his teeth about his past it didn’t matter, because neither the country, nor the Republicans had the stomach to deal with it.

...then we finally heard someone that sounded almost exactly as we were thinking, and from a person that had the capability to deliver on his words, without having to answer to anyone but himself and the voters (and maybe his wife, LOL).

Trump was not a hard choice for us and if the elites think it’s a fling and we’ll get back to ‘reality’ by dumping Trump and choosing one of their Open Borders candidates, they are SERIOUSLY MISTAKING things.

In fact I would recommend the following:
1) George Will needs to get his wife out of Walker’s campaign...he is TOAST and in a few weeks he won’t even be able to pay her. Then George can try to come clean with us by saying that he now understands Trump voters. I doubt he’s up to that task, but I suspect that he his kids (or grand kids) that he still wants to be able to put through college.

2) Frank Luntz is already doing the above, in that his latest hand-picked ‘focus group’ is now saying that Trump is virtually unstoppable (obviously Frank needs some credibility if he is to make a living - he’s figured it out).

3) The army of Republican consultants and ‘advisers’ (most of them gay, by the way) need to simply GET OUT OF THE WAY regarding the choice of our candidate as we simply WILL NOT listen to them, not this time, not after losing twice to the most inexperienced candidate to ever run for president. AND STOP INSULTING US! They need to go to some think tank and figure out that they will never have power again, if they only answer to the money-men - and then they need to leave DC and spend some time in Kansas, Texas, and the rest of the country to figure out why we’re so damn mad...and then they need to represent our interests - if they EVER want to see employment again.

Dear Karl, BOR and establishment shills the world over,

Listen closely, I have been a conservative my whole life. I have a lot if issues with Trump, I know what I am getting into BECAUSE HE IS VERY CLEAR ABOUT IT. He DOES have a lot of positions that I don’t agree with. He is a pompous ass and a blow hard YANKEE. But what choice do I have? H-1B Cruz? Not.

Trump wants to attack the issue of our lifetime, the illegal and legal invasion of the USA by foreigners with no intention of assimilating. They are genetic socialists and will vote Democrat 90% of the time.

So I am gambling with both eyes open. So stuff it.

Signed,

Wall Lover.

Sweet! All Trump has to do is what he’s promising to do. Deal with immigration, and then we can deal with the rest as conservatism, and this country, will live another day. We may have to wait out Trump on gay marriage, for example, but, hopefully, Cruz, or someone like him, will follow and deal with that issue and related social issues.

If Trump double crosses us, so be it...Jeb, who has promised to screw us on Amnesty, can be no better. Walker, who has promised the big-money people that he will screw us on Amnesty, can be no better.

Only Cruz would likely be better than a double-crossing Trump...and the way things have gone for Cruz, he probably wouldn’t even get the nomination of Trump is gone, anyway.
