“Unfortunatley the nearest Southern States gasoline station that still sells pure gasoline is too far for me to drive to regularly get it.”
Same here, in East Texas. Non ethanol gas has somehow been mostly eliminated in TX, with the exception of in and around marinas.
Conversely, in OK where my son lives, no ethanol gas is almost ubiquitous, and that is all he uses.
There is a gas station in Alpine TX that sells non ethan gas.
Which is convenient to about no one.
Another great reason to live in OK. Within 2 miles of my house there are 3 100% gas stations. OnCue’s have taken over in Okc, and they all offer both. Right now it is about $.40 to $.50 higher for the good stuff. I will pay it though. The savings in gas mileage recovers most of that extra cost, and all it takes is damage to one vehicle to wipe out any cost benefit of ethanol.
