My 2 1/2 yo granddaughter can do addition and subtraction up to 20 using pennies, grapes and buttons. It’s a favorite game with grandpa. We are through the alphabet and spelling words she is interested in. It’s the same approach my mother used with me and my wife used with our daughter. Kids are sponges if approached properly. She has fun being right and learning new things. It’s really not all that complicated.

Careful, teaching kids like that puts them at a “super unfair advantage”, check your privilege, you may find yourself sent to a far away place for a little re-edumacation
