Illinois’ governor is a Republican....WTF. I do not believe this article. Questionable news source. I live in Illinois and I have friends in law enforcement. I'm going to ask them about this.
My gut reaction is that this doesn't pass the smell test.

You are correct. I followed the links to the source (Link below): They were requiring Sikhs to remove their turbans, which do not obscure the face.
