Click Start, Run, type the word regedit in the box, hit OK. Then click Edit, click Find, type Safer Updater, hit Find Next.

Now the search engine will start looking for Safer Updater. Because you can really mess up your PC by deleting the wrong thing in the Registry I advise you to do a ‘trial’ search first. When the search stops on the words Safer Updater, hit F3 instead of Delete. This will make it keep searching. Go through your entire Registry once, see how many instances Safer Updater appears.

Count how many times the words Safer Updater appear and then tell me. Then I’ll tell you how to proceed.
