Does it bother anyone that this brain may have been conscious?!? They say they can tell through brain scans but often people with no brain activity have memories of events around them when they wake up.
Can you imagine if you came to consciousness in complete darkness with no sensory input and no sense of time? It sounds very much like a version of hell.
