It takes a lot for New Yorkers to get mad at any establishment that creates their cities most beloved dish: Pizza. But NYC residents are furious with a local pizza joint for promoting a racist pie. How on Earth can pizza be racist?
Pizza by Certé recently started advertising a picnic themed pizza with ingredients like fried chicken, watermelon and sunflower seeds. And here is what they called it the pic-a-nika. The pic-a-nika. C'mon!
Advocacy group Millions March NYC protested the establishment and tried to get it shut down.

I hear you, but people like pineapple. I think it could be tried on a pizza with feta cheese. Watermelon is traditionally served on a salad with feta cheese.

I would try a slice, but am more of a traditional toppings person myself. I do make a smoked chicken breast and roasted garlic white pizza that is very tasty. That is as crazy as I will get.
